Meet the Storytek accelerator residents

Storytek – a business accelerator for the audio-visual industry that is supported by Black Nights Film Festival, telco Elisa and various other organisations – has started the 10-week programme to help startups focusing on digital entertainment, intellectual property and technology reach international markets. Mentors include digital business development specialist Laura Anne Edwards (TED Resident, Google Labs, NASA; USA), producer and sales and IP expert Michael Favelle (Odin’s Eye Entertainment; Australia), digital media consultant Kristen Davis (Cinqc, Google DNI, FRA), Wolf Bosse – strategic business development director for ARRI; multiplatform producer and Oscar-gala producer John Heinsen (Bunnygraph Entertainment; USA) and many others.

LA MAISON DE PROD
(Canada) – Canadian La maison de prod’s feature film VFC, starring a femail neuroscientist, comes complete with a companion neurotech interactive application. In VFC they bring together entertainment with science with the help of EEG headset, and provide a glimpse into the brain’s emotional response to the film and its soundtrack.
AMULET STUDIO
(Croatia) – A true transmedia project from the Croatian Amulet Studio — spanning animated series, mobile games, and other digital channels. Black&White, fittingly, uses only monochrome colors, shifting visual perception to highlight new insights of imagination.
CABARET RHIZOME
(Estonia) – An Estonian project, The Anatomy of Decision investigates the aspects of collective choice and social compromise. Cabaret Rhizome’s 64 scenarios are played out on stage but transcend the fourth wall and include their audience through interactive storytelling devices.
FANVESTORY
(Estonia) – Fanvestory’s Estonian team has set out to do no less than challenge how the music industry conducts its business. By allowing the audience to become stakeholders in and connect with their favorite artists, they’re challenging the dynamics of this slice of the creative landscape.
ESTONIAN GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY MARKERS
(Estonia) – Estonian Global Technology Makers’ platform GoShareWork harnesses the power of the peer-to-peer approach, connecting expertise with demand. Mainly targeting vocational school students and homeowners, the project creates an ecosystem that can place the know-how at the fingertips of those who need it.
SCOPE
(Estonia) – Scope’s end-to-end AV project management tool is a B2B SaaS solution targeting video production and creative agencies. Recognizing the struggle of their audience in time management and efficient resource allocation, they developed their solution tailored to address the problem and pave the way for the future.
