European Genre Forum

European Genre Forum is a pan-european project organized by Black Nights Film Festival from Tallinn (among 15 world A festivals); Imagine Film Festival from Amsterdam (biggest festival for fantastic film in the Netherlands); Fantastic Zagreb Film Festival (largest genre festival in the SEE region) and film consultancy company Screen Division from Paris.

The main goal of this international project is to connect, educate and supported young and upcoming, as well as already proven, European film talents beginning their career in the genre film industry.

The EGF  annual cycle consists of three labs: the Directing lab in Amsterdam (spring), the Production lab in Zagreb (summer) and the final Sales and Marketing lab in Tallinn (winter) giving the participants a full range of feedback, skills and contacts by established professionals in the global genre industry to step their projects up and prepare for financing, participation in co- production markets and naturally production as well.

The EGF Sales and Marketing Lab in Tallinn will feature extensive pitch training workshop  by acclaimed pitch trainer Sibylle Kurz, as well as special sessions on topics connected to the sales & marketing of projects including how to create an attractivce project package, understanding monetization and deals of VOD and digital platforms, expanding the story universe through transmedia and brand engagement, and how to develop festival and market strategy.

The Sales and Marketing Lab will finish with the long-awaited Final Pitch of the 8 chillingly fresh and exciting projects from the participants of EGF 2017 training cycle. Come and discover the hottest new talent of European genre cinema!
